The ProtectShins Project is a nonprofit organization that aims to help underprivileged aspiring soccer players access the necessary equipment needed. Shin guards are used as a means of protection when playing soccer, and I believe it is important that all players are able to play knowing they are safe. As a Bar Mitzvah, I am learning to become a responsible Jewish person in the image of God. Therefore, for my mitzvah (good deed) project, I chose to collect and distribute shin guards.

The Hebrew letter Shin, which is prominently displayed on the mezuzah outside of a Jewish home, stands for the word Shadai or God. Just like God protects us throughout our lives, the shin guards protect athletes' bodies. It is important to give back to God for the protection God gives us, and shin guards are a way of giving back the protection to the people that need it most.

Ever since I was four, I have felt an extreme passion for the game of soccer. I have learned so much along my journey, and would never want to play any other sport. When selecting my mitzvah project, it was a no-brainer I would create a project that would benefit soccer players, as I want young athletes to love the game just as much as I do.

Click "Buy Now" to order shin guards that will be donated to a local charity, which will benefit soccer players that lack the essential equipment needed to play the game safely.
